Supporting the Evolution of Workflow Patterns for Virtual Communities
نویسندگان
چکیده
Virtual communities that make use of network information systems (NIS) have a need for specification support that agrees with their communal character. System specification changes must be acceptable to all members for a community to thrive. We concentrate on the specification of workflowenabling communication tools rather than information tools that support a single user. In a previous paper, we have defined various levels of workflow specification, from speech acts to scenarios. Once patterns for these levels have been identified, they can be stored in a component library and be (re)-used effectively by communities to speed up their NIS development. To ensure the acceptability of changes in workflow patterns, we propose to apply an existing method for legitimate user-driven specification.

Difference and diversity are phenomena existing from the very first days human communities have been formed. Under such condition, what provides for necessity of coexistence between different individuals and groups to become possible is tolerance. متن کاملAnalyzing Community Knowledge Sharing Behavior
The effectiveness of support provided to virtual communities depends strongly on what we know about a particular community of people and in what areas the community needs support. For this purpose, we have developed algorithms to automatically detect patterns that point out support needed for the effective knowledge sharing in a closely-knit virtual community. The automatic detection of problem...

In this technical report we describe describe the Domain Specific Language (DSL) of the Workflow Execution Execution (WEE) introduced in [1, 2]. Instead of interpreting an XML based workflow description language like BPEL, the WEE uses a minimized but expressive set of statements that runs directly on to of a virtual machine that supports the Ruby language. Frameworks/Virtual Machines supportin...
متن کاملA Roadmap for Self-Evolving Communities
Self-organisation and self-evolution is evident in physics, chemistry, biology, and human societies. Despite the existing literature on the topic, we believe self-organisation and self-evolution is still missing from the IT tools (whether online or offline) we are building and using. In the last decade, human interactions have been moving more and more towards social media. The time we spend in...
